This concert will focus on the composer Maurizio Cazzati. Cazzati (1616-1678) was an Italian composer who was mainly active as Maestro di Cappella at the Basilica San Petronio in Bologna. There he founded the so-called “Bolognese School”, which had a decisive influence on the development of instrumental music.
