小野綾子 Ayako Ono Soprano
宮城県仙台南高校卒業。合唱部所属。NHK全国合唱コンクール全国大会出場。
Ayako Ono was born at Sendai City in Japan. She graduated from Minami-koko High School in 2001 and studied in the department of Vocal music at the Miyagi Gakuin Woman’s University of Music in 2005, with Yoko Fuda and Hirohisa Tuji.
She became member of Cannons Concert Chamber Choir since 2006, winning an audition organized by the Handel Festival Japan, which organizes the performance, each year, of a previously-unknown Handel oratorio in Japan.
She sang as soloist in Handel Messiah, and in many cantatas by Bach, and in Vivaldi’s Gloria. She also sang Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Dorabella in Così fan tutte.
From 2014 to 2017 she perfectioned in Baroque Singing at the Civica Scuola Claudio Abbado of Milano with Roberto Balconi. During this period she intensely worked in Italy and Switzerland as a singer, collaborating with Lorenzo Ghielmi , Antonio Frigé and Mara Galassi. She regularly takes part in Il canto di Orfeo, directed by Gianluca Capuano. She also sang at various events in the city, around Italy and abroad, including the World Exposition (EXPO 2015), the Festival Barocco di Roma 2016, Milano Arte Musica, MITO Settembre Musica 2016, and regularly performs in the Duomo of Milano and in the Museum of Instruments of the Castello Sforzesco in the city.
From 2017 she engaged in a dense concert schedule in both Japan and Europe. In August 2017 she founded the baroque group Il Merlo in Sendai, collaborating with other alumni of the Scuola with the purpose to bring Italian Baroque music to Japan, and held a series of concerts in Tokyo and other major cities between 2017 and 2018.
In October 2017 she won an audition for collaboration with the Sendai Philarmonic for a concert, in February 2018, of Haendel’s arias.
In spring 2018 she held in Milano and Switzerland a series of concerts, performing from Baroque music to Cimarosa.
In late 2018 she started collaboration again with the Sendai Philharmonic in Iwanuma, directed by Cikara Iwamura, for performing Beethoven’s ninth symphony. She worked at the same time as soloist and as choirmaster, bringing her experience as singer in preparing the choir. At the end of 2018 she performed as soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the Messiah Ensemble.
